The whole pram, in four figures

  • 9.9kg The whole pram, seat on
  • 53.3cm Across, the width of a shop aisle
  • 22.7kg From birth, to about four
  • 13.6kg Basket, the nappy bag and the shopping
The Kona

Fold. Carry. Go.

Built for the daily dash: big performance in a small footprint, so you can take the city on.

Compact without compromise

Small enough for the aisle.
Not small in the seat.

Most compact prams get small by shrinking the seat. Kona keeps a full-size seat, a sprung wheel on every corner and a 13.6 kilogram basket, and finds the space in the footprint instead. 53.3 centimetres across.

The Kona

Built for the city
you actually live in.

Carrying a folded Kona across a city street

01

Stairs, trams, doorways

Fold it, and carry it.

One hand, from standing, with the seat still attached and facing either way. It stands up on its own afterwards, and there is a carry handle built into the frame for the flight of stairs at the other end.

34.0 × 53.3 × 65.5 cm folded, seat on

02

53.3 centimetres across

Through the aisle, not around it.

A slim footprint that turns tight corners and clears a shop aisle, without giving up the seat size or the basket underneath it. Sprung on every wheel, so the footpath does not reach the child.

Full-size seat reversible, four-position recline, lies flat

03

From the first day

Ready from birth, nothing to add.

The seat lies flat, so a newborn goes straight in as sold. If you would rather, the UPPAbaby bassinet and the Mesa capsule click straight onto the frame with no adapters; Maxi-Cosi, Nuna and Joie capsules fit with the Kona adapters.

Birth to 22.7 kg one child, one frame, nothing else to buy

Engineering

The parts you
actually notice

The things you use forty times a day, and the reasons a Kona still pushes like a Kona in three years.

  • One-hand fold, seat attached

Folds from standing whichever way the seat is facing, then stands on its own with a carry handle.

  • Suspension and never-flat tyres

Sprung on every wheel, with front wheel locks for gravel and grass. Nothing to pump up.

  • Reversible seat, from birth

Faces you or faces out, with a one-hand recline through four positions that lies flat for a newborn.

  • Extra-large basket

13.6 kilograms, so it takes the nappy bag and the shopping at the same time.

  • UPF 50+ extendable canopy

With a peek-a-boo window and ventilation, so you can check on them without stopping.

  • Adjustable handlebar and footrest

A comfortable push at any height, and a footrest that moves through three positions as they grow.

Colourways

Three, at launch.

Black, sandstone or meadow green. Leather handle and bumper bar on all three. The seat fabric is the same weave as the Vista and Cruz.

  • James Kona

  • Ada Kona

The question everyone asks

Kona, or Cruz?

Both take one child from birth as sold, both carry the same basket, both take the bassinet and the Mesa without adapters. The Cruz has the Vista's seat on a larger frame. The Kona is two kilograms lighter and four centimetres slimmer, and it folds with the seat on.

Answers

Before you decide

How is the Kona different from the Cruz?

Kona is the lighter, slimmer everyday pram: 9.9 kg against 12, and 53.3 cm across against 57.2. The Cruz carries the Vista's seat on a larger frame. Kona is built to clear an aisle and go up a flight of stairs on your arm.

Can I use the Kona from birth?

Yes, as sold. The seat lies flat from birth. The UPPAbaby bassinet and the Mesa capsule attach directly, with no adapters, if you would rather.

Does the Mesa capsule fit the Kona?

Yes, directly, with no adapters. Maxi-Cosi, Nuna and Joie capsules fit with the Kona car seat adapters, sold separately.

How small does it fold?

34.0 by 53.3 by 65.5 cm with the seat still attached. It folds in one hand from standing, whichever way the seat is facing, and then stands up on its own.
