Before you drive
Three things worth checking
The harness height. For a rear-facing capsule the straps should come from at or just below the shoulders. Too high is the most common fitting error, and the inlay changes where the shoulders sit.
The pinch test. Once buckled, you should not be able to pinch a horizontal fold in the strap at the collarbone. Bulky clothing defeats this, which is why coats come off before the harness goes on.
The base indicators. Green on both connectors, and the base should not move more than about 2.5 cm side to side at the belt path.
