The swing stalls its own motion if an older sibling or anything else gets in the way of it. The harness is a no rethread design with shoulder and crotch pads, so it adjusts as a baby grows without being unthreaded and put back. It runs from an AC adapter rather than batteries. UPPAbaby is a member of the Infant & Nursery Product Alliance Australia, the industry body for nursery product safety.

A swing goes back and forth on one arc. This bounces, sways, rocks, waves and cruises, because those are the motions a parent actually makes when a baby will not settle. Five of them, at speeds you set.
Day one, with the insert already in.
The newborn support insert, the toy mobile and the AC adapter are all in the box, and it goes together without tools. Recline it flat to 45 degrees and a newborn lies back in it.
Five motions, four hundred combinations.
Cruise, bounce, sway, rock and wave, each at a speed you choose, with four sounds over the top. The recline moves anywhere between 25 and 45 degrees as they start sitting up.
Change it from where you are sitting.
Touch sensitive backlit buttons on the base, so you can find them in a dark room. Or leave the panel alone and use the UPPAbaby app, Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
