Owning an UPPAbaby

Spare parts

Wheels, canopies, harnesses, bumper bars, baskets, rain shields and replacement fabrics are all available, and most are ordinary stock rather than special orders. A pram that can be repaired is a pram that lasts long enough for a second child.

Parts are version specific. Find the model and version on the white label on the frame near the rear axle before you order.

Why we sell them at all

A pram is a frame with parts attached to it. Over five or six years and two children, some of those parts wear out, and a pram that cannot be repaired is a pram that gets thrown away.

So we stock the parts that actually wear: wheels, canopies, harnesses, bumper bars, baskets, rain shields and replacement fabrics. Most are ordinary stock items, not special orders.

This is the same argument as the ten years of servicing. A three year warranty plus a decade of parts and adjustment is what makes a pram last long enough to be handed to a second child.

Finding the right part

Parts are version specific

A Vista V2 wheel does not fit a Vista V3. A Cruz V2 canopy does not fit a Cruz V3. Part numbers change between versions and the differences are often not visible in a photograph of the part alone.

Find your model and version on the white label on the frame near the rear axle, the same label as the serial number. Photograph it once and keep it.

  1. Find the label

Fold the pram and look at the underside of the frame near the rear axle. It carries the model, the version and the serial number.

  2. Photograph the part you need

Both the part and where it attaches. A photograph beats a description every time.

  3. Send both to us

Rather than ordering from a part number you have guessed at. We would rather spend two minutes confirming than have you return the wrong wheel.

What wears out, and when

Roughly in the order we get asked for them.

Wheels and tyresKerbs, gravel and a few thousand kilometresNever-flat tyres do not puncture but they do wear flat spots

Before you buy: is it a warranty claim?

Normal wear and tear is not covered. A part that failed early or failed oddly may well be a manufacturing defect, and that is covered for three years.

If a wheel bearing has gone at eight months, do not buy a wheel. Lodge a claim. If a canopy has faded after three summers, that is wear, and a replacement canopy is the answer.

Parts we will not sell you

Some things are not user-replaceable, and we would rather say so than take your money.

  • Structural frame components. If a frame is bent or cracked, the pram is replaced, not repaired.
  • Car capsule shells and harnesses. A capsule that has been in an accident is replaced. Its energy-absorbing structure is single-use by design.
  • Anything on a product that has been in a vehicle accident. Repairing it is not the answer, and we will not help you do it.

Fitting a non-genuine part is also worth thinking twice about: repairs and modifications carried out by a third party void the warranty on the product.

Or let us look at it

If you are not sure whether a part needs replacing, bring the pram to a Tune-Up Day. Inspection and basic adjustment are complimentary for up to ten years from purchase under Lifetime Service Support, and quite often a pram that feels worn out needs adjusting rather than parts.

Tune-Up Days are free, take about fifteen minutes, and you do not have to have bought the pram from us. See the dates and book a spot.

Not sure which part?

Send us a photograph

The part and where it attaches, plus the label from your frame. Two minutes now beats returning the wrong wheel.
