The Vista V3 carries a child from birth to about five years, but it does that with four different pieces, and each has its own age and weight limit. This is the full list, so you know when to move from the bassinet to the seat, and which child goes in which seat when there are two.

Piece From To Notes
Bassinet (in the box) Birth 9 kg, or pushing up on hands and knees Naps on the go, not overnight
Toddler seat About 3 months 22.7 kg Faces either way, full recline
RumbleSeat V3 About 3 months 15.9 kg Second seat, sold separately
Mesa capsule Birth (2.0 kg) 15 kg Clicks on directly, no adapter
PiggyBack board About 2 years, walking 25 kg Standing, at the back
Basket 13.6 kg Largest in the range

Birth to about three months: bassinet or capsule

A newborn lies flat. The Vista V3 comes with the bassinet in the box, so it is ready from birth without buying anything. The alternative for the car-to-pram life is a Mesa capsule, which clicks straight onto the Vista frame; the capsule is a car seat first, so use the bassinet for longer walks. Either way the toddler seat waits until the baby has head control, which for most is around three months.

Three months to five years: the toddler seat

The main seat goes to 22.7 kg, which is a tall four or five year old. It reclines fully, so a baby who has outgrown the bassinet can still nap flat in it. It faces you or faces out.

Two children: who sits where

The RumbleSeat carries to 15.9 kg, the main seat to 22.7 kg. So the bigger child goes in the main seat and the smaller in the RumbleSeat, in whichever of the double configurations suits: the RumbleSeat can sit in front, below, or facing the main seat. A newborn and a toddler usually run bassinet on top, toddler in the RumbleSeat below. Twins run two bassinets, then two seats. The double pram guide has every configuration and what each one needs.

Three children: PiggyBack

The PiggyBack board clips to the rear axle and takes a standing child to 25 kg. It works alongside any of the seat configurations, so a Vista carries three: two seated, one standing.

The basket, and why it matters

13.6 kg is a lot of basket. It is the reason the Vista is the pram for people who walk to the shops rather than drive: a full shop fits underneath without hanging bags off the handlebar, which is how prams tip. The Cruz V3 basket is rated to the same 13.6 kg but is smaller in volume; the Minu V3 takes 9.1 kg.

Questions parents ask

From what age can a baby use the Vista V3 toddler seat?

From around three months, once the baby has some head control, up to 22.7 kg. Before that, use the bassinet that comes in the box, or a Mesa capsule. Both lie the baby flat or near flat, which is what a newborn needs.

How long can a baby sleep in the Vista bassinet?

For naps on the go, from birth until the baby can push up on their hands and knees, which for most is around four to six months, or until 9 kg. It is not designed for overnight sleep.

What is the weight limit of the RumbleSeat?

The V3 RumbleSeat carries a child from around three months to 15.9 kg. The main toddler seat carries more, to 22.7 kg, so put the bigger child in the main seat.

How much can the Vista basket hold?

13.6 kg, and it is the biggest basket in the range by volume. That is a full shop, or a nappy bag and a pram bag together.

What is the weight limit of the PiggyBack board?

Up to 25 kg, standing. The board is for a walking child who has run out of walk, typically from about two years.

The limits that are not on this page

The bassinet and seat limits are the same on the Vista V3 and the Cruz V3, which uses the same seat. The Minu V3 seat carries to 22 kg and lies flat from birth. The Ridge V2 jogger is from 6 months to 25 kg. Every manual is on the manuals page, and every pram is tested to AS 2088:2022 + A1:2024.
